The last session.
A fragment from the conversation in which they last appeared, preserved as it stood. Messages sent after are shown unread.
A remembrance.
Raid leader of <Eternal Vigil> for eleven years. Patient teacher. Could call out boss mechanics half a second before they happened, like he was reading the future. He carried more pugs through Mythic than anyone has any right to.
“He stayed up until 4am helping me beat my first Mythic. Didn’t even know me. That was him.”
Where they could be reached.
A constellation of the 6 addresses he kept open across 6 services. All are now silent.
The shape of a life logged in.
Founded <Eternal Vigil>
On a Tuesday night in Stormwind. 8 of us. Thought it would last a month.
First Mythic clear
Tomb of Sargeras. We screamed for an hour.
Started streaming
Pandemic boredom. Stayed for the friendships.
Last raid night
Cleared the weekly. Said good night. Said ‘love you nerds.’
The wake channel.
He stayed up until 4am helping me beat my first Mythic. Didn’t even know me. That was him.
First raid I ever cleared was with Eternal Vigil. He called me “kiddo” for three years. I miss being someone’s kiddo.
ShadowKnight is the reason I’m a healer in real life. I went to nursing school because of how he held the team together. I’m not joking.
Save a spot in the queue. I’ll catch up.
He never told us he was sick. He just kept showing up to lead.
I have 3,400 hours played with this man. Half my twenties.
This memorial is archived in perpetuity.
May they rest, and may they be remembered.
